LET US BE NUMBERED WITH THOSE WHO ARE FOUND VIEWING GOD AS THEIR "ALL-SUFFICIENCY" IN THIS MOST CRITICAL HOUR

...."then after his return from the defeat of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, the King of Sodom went out to meet him at the valley of Shaveh [that is, the King's valley] and Melchizedek, King of Salem brought out bread and wine; now he was a priest of God most High; and he blessed him and said, 'Blessed be Abram of God most High, possessor of Heaven and earth; and blessed be God most High Who has delivered your enemies into your hand. And he gave him a tenth of all. And the King of Sodom said to Abram, give the people to me and take the goods for yourself. And Abram said to the King of Sodom, "I have sworn to the Lord God most High, possessor of Heaven and earth, that I will not take a thread or a sandal thong anything that is yours, lest you should say, I have made Abram rich.'"....

                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Genesis 14:17-23  NASB

From this short story we once again see the heart-attitude of Abram. We can see that Abram had become so dependent on God for all things that he looked to Him as the "absolute" source of supply for all his needs and, because of this, he was able to say what he said to the King of Sodom. God had already promised Abram that he would prosper him greatly and he took Him at His Word and, thus, even when untold wealth was offered to him by the King of Sodom, his "spontaneous reaction" was to speak the Word of faith in his Lord's ability - as his covenant partner, - to meet his needs. Because of his faith and trust in God Abram [soon to be Abraham] refused, even for a moment, to conform to the world and, thus, "receive something that was not from God. As we continue to read on about Abram's life we see that God prospered him greatly in every way. As the Father honors the faith of His children He is certainly able and willing to prosper them - exceeding abundantly beyond all they can ask or think! Let us be those who are found viewing God as their "All-Suffiency" in this most critical hour for He is faithful to meet our every need perfectly - with a view to accomplishing all that we were created for, in Christ.
