ANGER AND FRUSTRATION
Ephesians 4:26b-27, 31-32 NASB
The
anger that many who are truly seeking God are experiencing is an attack from
Satan. He is working "furiously" upon the "last vestiges"
of the ground [stronghold of fear, bitterness and unforgiveness] that he has
spent years building - concerning the "authorities" [parents etc.] in
their lives. Many still have an "inner image" of the Heavenly Father
acting towards them the same way their earthly father [and mother] did. Each individual
case is unique, but the common thread is that these "authorities"
misrepresented the Father in some way. Vast multitudes of God's children have
experienced "absenteeism" at critical times and moments throughout
their life - even from the time they were a small child. This
"absenteeism" was not just "physical" - although that was
certainly the case in many families - it was also a "spiritual
absence" - the absence of the anointing of the Holy Spirit [Who is the
Spirit of Love] in their daily lives. One of the main results of this
"misrepresentation" of the Father and His Word was that whole
generations were raised and trained diligently to become
"self-sufficient" rather than to find their
"all-sufficiency" in God. As this pertains to those who are truly
seeking the fullness of the Father's will for their life and ministry: it is
causing great difficulty at times in their ability to exercise an
"absolute faith" - working through an "absolute [perfect]
love" - and, because of this, there has been a distinct delay in the fulfilment
of their God-given revelation and vision. In some cases, this has produced a
degree of anger [at the Father] and frustration at their "own"
inability to come into the fullness of all that has been prepared for them from
on high. As the Holy Spirit brings this "hatred" and ground of
unforgiveness to the surface one must simply repent, and realize that they are
transferring the anger that they have towards their parents [or other
authorities] towards the Heavenly Father - and it is causing "momentary"
blindness and confusion. It is clearly Satan's attempt to get them to do
something [anything] that will put a stop to the "soon coming"
blessings of God. And it is more than just finances - it is everything their
heart has ever secretly [and not so secretly] desired before God. One's fear of
failure - or more accurately the Father failing them - is what is causing them
this distress but in reality it is simply an issue of TRUST [or to be more
precise "mistrust"], and them coming into that place where any "double-mindedness"
- and the "safety net" that it "temporarily" provides - is
cast aside.
OUR "NEVER-FAILING" FATHER
At first this is a very scary place to be in but it is certain that ANYONE who
has ever been used by God to any great degree - and whoever will be - MUST come
to this place of what "seems" [feels] like a precarious position: one
step away from total failure and disaster. It is only in this way that we can
EVER come into a complete trust of our NEVER-FAILING Father. It does not matter
how one "feels" in this time. What truly matters is that they
continue to speak the words and carry out the corresponding actions that line
up with the revelation that the Father has given them - KNOWING that they will
not only begin to "rise above" the schemes of the Evil One, but that
they will also never have to pass that way again, as they "allow" the
fire of the Holy Spirit to consume all that is "vile" within them -
by taking a simple step of faith in their heart towards the loving Father. Even
though it seems difficult to "let go" if one does not let go then
they will never completely "LET GOD". This is truly an "intense"
work that the Father has been doing in many precious saints these past few
months, and I am in awe of His precious love toward us.
Remember this:
His hand is clearly on
you, and when His hand is upon you then you shall SURELY see everything that He
has said and promised come to pass in glorious ways that are almost
incomprehensible to your thinking. This is a critical time. Consecrate yourself
and take that "anger" and frustration and turn it back against Satan
and his forces. Begin to resist and they shall surely flee, and you shall soon
see the precious fruit of the Holy Spirit's labor in your heart - and in your
circumstances.
