THE LIFE OF FAITH AND THE GLORIOUS CHURCH - 2009
MARCH 6th
AS IN ALL OTHER THINGS PERTAINING TO LIFE AND GODLINESS, WE MUST
ALSO SEEK TO GLORIFY THE FATHER TO THE GREATEST DEGREE IN OUR SPEAKING
James 1:26-27 NASB
We,
as children of God, must learn to bridle our tongues, and we must be found
letting no unwholesome word proceed from our mouth - at all cost to ourselves,
in any given moment. As in all other things pertaining to life and godliness,
we must also seek to glorify the Father to the greatest degree in our speaking.
We must also set ourselves to be the "stopping point" with any
slander or gossip that might come our way - particularly those words that come
against the authority [Word - Will] of God - for it is certain that the
"spirit of rebellion", and the "spirit of self-exaltation"
are highly contagious! All those who have truly humbled themselves before the
Father and His Word will have, abiding in their hearts, a deep inbred love of
God for mankind, and for His people - regardless of the sin that was committed
against them - and, thus, they will continue to intercede in perfect love [in
the power of the Holy Spirit] right up until the time that the Father comes
forth to judge [vindicate] on their behalf.
"WHEN ONE HAS THE DEEP ASSURANCE IN THEIR HEART THAT WHAT THEY ARE SAYING
AND DOING IS IN THE CENTER OF GOD'S WILL THEN THEY CAN KNOW THAT WHAT THEY HAVE
SAID AND DONE WILL NOT RETURN VOID, AND THAT IT WILL ACCOMPLISH EXACTLY WHAT
THE FATHER DESIRES TO ACCOMPLISH"
Every last one of us, as Christians, should be seeking to speak the right word
[and carry out the right action] in any given moment - KNOWING that not only is
our labour NOT in vain, but that it will ALWAYS produce the greatest eternal
benefit for all involved in that situation - whether we "see"
the results immediately or not. When one has the deep assurance in their heart
that what they are saying and doing is in the center of God's will THEN they
can know that what they have said and done will not "return void",
and that it will accomplish EXACTLY what the Father desires to accomplish. This
is the type of attitude that every Christian must possess in this final hour.
People who do not "maintain" this holy and faithful attitude will not
realize their need for God's grace [empowerment] - nor will they seek it, for
their eyes continue to remain upon themselves and their own goals [self-desire
- unrighteous attitudes]. The first and foremost priority of EVERY true
believer should be to enter into the fullness of the Father's will for their
life and ministry. When the church comes into that righteous state of mind THEN
the power of God shall surely flow forth through her in "torrents".
It is the Father's deepest heart-desire to show Himself strong on the behalf of
all those who walk uprightly before Him, and He has many great purposes - not
the least of which is to set the captives free that they might enter into the
fullness of the precious destiny [Kingdom-position] that is theirs, in Christ.
