THE ESSENCE OF THE "SPIRIT OF THE CROSS" IS TO DO [OR SAY] NOTHING APART FROM THE HEAD - WHO IS CHRIST


Words of prophecy:


* The essence of the true "spirit of the Cross" is: absolute dependence upon Me with no reliance upon self.

*       Abiding in the "Spirit of the Cross" and preaching My "absolute truth" in the "fullness" of conviction are "inseparable"!

*       Two inherent tendencies of the "flesh" that need to be burned out by the severing power of the Spirit of the Cross: self-dependence [self-sufficiency] - the viewing of anything else apart from My Word and My Spirit as a means to My children's sustenance in the earth. Secondly: the "belief" that they, apart from Christ, are in "any" way capable of carrying out any aspect of My will.

* Every work which I call My people to must be done in the "Spirit of the Cross", for without the denial of self to "apprehend" the revelation of My Will needed to carry out the task, then the "tasks" which are carried out "in My Name" shall have absolutely nothing to do with Me. Behold! As I lay bare the "works" of each one of My children through the consuming fire of My Spirit there shall not be even one unrepented of word or action which escapes Me, and you shall once again be able to clearly distinguish that which is of Me and that which is not of Me; those who have served Me and those who have not served Me.

*       Without a continually deeper working of the Spirit of the Cross" one shall never come to the place wherein they can be trusted with the "full measure" of the power that abides within them. As one abides in love - day after day after day the "leaven of compassion" shall surely "consume" them, and it is in "this place" that I am enabled to trust them with the aforementioned "full measure" of anointing [My power].


...."If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his [own] father and mother [in the sense of indifference to or relative disregard for them in comparison with his attitude toward God] and [likewise] his wife and children and brothers and sisters - [yes] and even his own life also - he cannot be My disciple. Whoever does not persevere and carry his own cross and come after (follow) Me cannot be My disciple"....

...."I [Jesus] am able to do nothing from Myself [independently, of My own accord - but only as I am taught by God and as I get His orders]. Even as I hear, I judge [I decide as I am bidden to decide. As the voice comes to Me, so I give a decision], and My judgment is right (just, righteous), because I do not seek or consult My own will [I have no desire to do what is pleasing to Myself, My own aim, My own purpose] but only the will and pleasure of the Father Who sent Me"....

Two revelations which every child of God must have "burning" [active] in their heart as they continue to run the true race in this last hour are:

(1)   that the anointing "abides" within them [in other words we are "anointed" {empowered} to do ALL of the things required of us by the Father].

(2)   that they can do nothing apart from Christ - the Anointed One and His Anointing.

          There is too much of an attitude prevalent in the midst of God's people that says, "we will try "our" best and hope that God is pleased" - and this is a greatly displeasing thing to the Father! The essence of the "Spirit of the Cross" is to do NOTHING apart from the Head, who is Christ. In other words, to do nothing on our "own" initiative, but rather only that which has been "revealed" to us by the Holy Spirit. Let us never be found in a position where we "choose" to deny that which is of God [His Will] and, thus, open the door to the darkness that is the spontaneous by-product of the world and its ways [fear, selfishness, pride, rebellion etc]. For it is certain that to lean upon our "own" understanding in this hour will surely cause us to not only miss the Will of God for our life but it will also find us "immersed" in the ever-deepening darkness that is, even now, consuming the world [Isaiah 60:2] - and it is also certain that the righteous judgements of God that have already begun to overtake His house [1 Peter 4:17] shall fall upon all those who retain [maintain] "lawlessness" [rebellion] and sin in their lives. The key word for the hour [for those who are truly seeking God] is "purification" - a consecration [separation unto the Father and His Word] and purification that will lead all those who are truly seeking first the Kingdom into holiness, and their true "Kingdom-position" and destiny, in Christ.
