+       Fear is a deadly "compulsion" [force]!

"deadly" - causing or tending to cause [or lead to] death [darkness]; aiming to kill or destroy;

"compulsion" - a strong, usually irresistible impulse to perfom or act, especially one that is irrational or contrary to one's will [and, in this case, God's Will also];
